Edera was a guard tower in the 1500’s. It was also used as
the ware house of a farm. Few years ago it was entirely restructured
by the proprietor and transformed in a typical Tuscan house. Today is a
comfortable and independent country house. It is 50 meters away from
the big house, where the proprietors live, a family of 5 members who
run the small farm. They will be pleased to welcome you with some of
their own products.
Edera is situated in the middle of the green hills of la
Montagnola (typical and famous for its storical and artistic
landscape). Near the farm (4 Km) there is a village “S. Rocco” where
you will find a supermarket , a bank, some restaurants, pizzerias and
more services. There are also few villages at the same distance as
Rosia and Sovicille with several services.
Siena is about 6 Km from Edera, and is reachable only by car or
by bus, the bus stop is 150 meters from Edera. From there the
autobus passes 3 times a day.
There is another bus stop in Loc. Volte Basse. From Edera you
can also reach the sea or go to another characteristic villages of the
zone.
If you love the sport there are few swimming pools and manèges that are
easily reachable.
